Velliangiri Darisanam - Part 1

Velliangiri - The thought of the same has always been mystical for me...! Trying to explain the same I should travel backwards in time, which may be boring for you. To restrict myself, I need to tell, that He has invited us during the Chitra Pournami of 2008. It was too playful on our side and we took it very easily, as we have always been, and climbed the Hill.

My friends are feather weight unlike me, who is heavy weight. In 2008, He took me till third mountain and my friends told to stay back for everyone goodness...! I did so. I thought He wanted to climb till 3rd mountain only. I was perfectly happy. But then, I always wanted to meet Him again at His Home on seventh mountain. He gave the dream and I put the responsibility on His Shoulders.

Now, in 2010, before Chitra Pournami, He has brought me here and 'm not sure what is in store for me. I was perfectly fine to go any long, either it be two steps or seven mountains, anything is His Wish. I was totally happy with what He was going to give me, nothing conditional.

We reached Coimbatore on 24th Apr 2010 morning and reached Isha Yoga by noon. We had a dip in the pool with Spadiga Lingam and got His Blessings. We then went to Dhyana Lingam and meditated to get His Wishes for our Velliangiri Darisanam.

Around 4 PM we reached the temple and had darisanam of Manonmani Amman sametha Velliangiriswarar. By around 5:30 PM we had bought our kombu and had started climbing Velliangiri mountain with His Blessings...!
