Sabarimala Yatra - Part 3

The day on which we four of us, colleagues and friends had our 'irumudi' tied and started off toSabarimala, was a charged one...! There was something inside waiting to over awe me. It was jumping, shivering, reverberating and doing some changes in my system. Every time I changed Saranam, tears rolled out of my eyes, not sure what it signified. Overall it was a state of joy and excitement, which was clear.

We boarded the car and started off. It was a very joyous voyage. It was never a dull, moody travel. Divine songs were played in the car and all of us were in discussion about various Divine Activities. I was talking much about the experiences that He gave me Girivalam, Parvathamalai, Sathuragiri and Velliangiri...!

First visit was on the way was to Samayapuram, where we took Sakthi's Blessings and then to Srirangam where we took Rangan's Blessings too...! Then we set off to Kumuli, via Bodi Met. The route is mountainous and, believe me, it had hair-pin bends every few hundred meters. Early in the morning around four, it was full of mist. With this climate, we reached Erumeli around 7 am, which is approximately 20 hrs of travel.

We had a quick half-hour nap and refreshening next to Vavar Swamy mosque. Then after some sitting in the car and relaxing, system was in full shape ready to take the Yatra. We first went to Vavar Swamy Mosque and then to Dharmasastha temple and later to Aiyappan temple. My dream walk on the elliptical was coming true now. Whatever I had envisaged, Aiyappan was making it a reality.

We had our breakfast and started the Punya Yatra around 11:30 AM. It was wonderful stretch, flat and neat, just that there were vehicles whizzing around, which we did not want to be around. We took very quick break, more because of me. All this possibly within 2 kms fm Erumeli. After that short break we started walking again and I was forced to sit again by my system, and I slowly lay on my back - while my Guruswamy was watching me...!
